OUR STORY
S.L. Mario Construction Corp. began operations from a small office in Quincy in 1993 by owner-operator Scott Mario. S.L. Mario Construction has since developed into your premier residential remodeling company focusing on high-end renovations and restorations in turn-of-the-century homes. Clients consistently choose to work with S.L. Mario Construction because of our dedication to high-quality work, attention to detail, and ability to bring your vision to life.
SCOTT MARIO
CEO & OWNER
With over twenty-nine years of experience, Scott Mario is the go-to contractor for clients that have logistically challenging projects, turn of the century homes, and complex projects that need an extreme attention to detail. Scott and his team immerse themselves into jobs and often develop a great relationship with clients that last decades. While it may be home for SL Mario Construction for a several months, Scott and his team knows it is still the homeowner’s space and so they are careful to not be intrusive. With the upmost respect, SL Mario Construction will put the safety, comfort, and privacy of the homeowner at the highest level.
Scott understands how valuable the relationship with the homeowner is and, as such treats it with the utmost care. Sometimes to a fault, Scott prides himself on his quick responsiveness and, his dedication to his clients. Once you are a client of Scott’s, you will be like family.
When Scott isn’t working, you can find him sipping on a Dunkin cold brew, in his backyard grilling or getting his steps in on the golf course. Scott knows that clients continually use and refer S.L. Mario Construction because of the relationships that they’ve built and the quality of work that backs it up. He is very proud of where he has come from and where he’s going.
COLLEEN MOORE
OFFICE MANAGER
Colleens warm and authentic personality really allows her to connect with homeowners and trade professionals. Her experience and education in small businesses and business management allows her to create and support a healthy and productive environment to the company. Her creativity and drive allow her to wear the many hats a small business needs. It was safe to say Colleen found her home in remodeling other people’s home.
After 3 years, Colleen and Ryan made the move up to Massachusetts so Ryan could further advance in his career. Colleen remained working remotely with the company in North Carolina but, missed going to jobsites. She was thrilled to find her new home at S. L. Mario Construction as an Office Manager. She is still working on completing her second bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, targeting a graduation by the end of 2023.
When Colleen isn’t working, you can find her playing soccer, taking her dogs on a walk or, playing video games.
CHRISTIAN MARIO
APPRENTICE CARPENTER & JR. ESTIMATOR
Construction was always in Christian’s genes. From his grandfather, to his own father, the passion would soon be passed down to him. From a young age he enjoyed traveling with his dad and spending the day at the job site. He tried his best to contribute to the construction at any chance he had.
Christian found himself back on the job site the following summer, where he worked as a construction helper for the S.L. Mario team. This tenure was short-lived, however, as Christian developed Lyme Disease and was physically unable to continue for most of the summer. He fought through it and went to work whenever he could, despite the limitations.
As he got older, Christian carried his passion for building into the virtual realm. He fell in love with the game of Minecraft, and would spend weeks building 1:1 scale stadiums and massive cities. He kept busy the rest of the time with schoolwork.
Christian is currently transitioning into a full-time role with S.L. Mario, primarily as a project estimator and is excited to learn more about the business as he works. In the future, he envisions living with his girlfriend Emily and increasing his role at S.L. Mario Construction.
