OUR STORY
S.L. Mario Construction Corp. began operations from a small office in Quincy in 1993 by owner-operator Scott Mario. S.L. Mario Construction has since developed into your premier residential remodeling company focusing on high-end renovations and restorations in turn-of-the-century homes. Clients consistently choose to work with S.L. Mario Construction because of our dedication to high-quality work, attention to detail, and ability to bring your vision to life.
SCOTT MARIO
CEO & OWNER
Scott Mario started his career working for his dad working sun up to sun down to learn everything he could about the business. He went out on his own in 1993 and has become the go-to contractor for clients that have logistically challenging projects, turn of the century homes, and complex projects that need an extreme attention to detail. Scott likes to call himself the worst construction client you can meet; he does not like the disruption and mess that comes along with any renovation project. So, he treats your house and your project as if it were his own. He is adament about safety, comfort and primary of the homeowner.
Scott understands how valuable the relationship with the homeowner is and, as such treats it with the utmost care. He immerses thimself into each project and often develops a great relationship with clients, designers, and trades people that last decades. Sometimes to a fault, Scott prides himself on his honest, thorough and detailed answers and, his dedication to his clients. Once you work with Scott’s, you will be like family.
When Scott isn’t working, you can find him sipping on a Dunkin cold brew, in his backyard grilling or getting his steps in on the golf course. Scott knows that clients continually use and refer S.L. Mario Construction because of the relationships and reputation that we’ve built and we product the quality of work that backs it up. Scott is very proud of the legacy he has built and looks forward to passing it onto his sons.
COLLEEN MOORE
OFFICE MANAGER
Colleen is originally from Houston, TX. After meeting her significant other, Ryan, they moved to North Carolina to escape the heat. In 2020, they continued their upward movement and made a new home in Massachusetts. Colleen got the opportunity to help her family own and operated a popular local coffee shop, allowing her to really grow her entrepreneurial spirit. Colleen completed her first BS in Business Administration in 2019 and her second BS in Industrial Engineering, in 2023. Colleen loves learning and loves coming up with unique and creative solutions to problems.
Colleen’s warm, light hearted and authentic personality creates an easy, collaborative dynamic within the teams we build for each project. She loves the little (sometimes big) challenges that inevitablity pop up during each project. When she can’t come up with a creative solution, she will roll up her sleeve and use good ole fashion hard work to get the job done. It is safe to say Colleen found her home in home renovations.
When Colleen isn’t working, you can find her playing soccer or pickleball, taking her dogs on a walk or, playing video games.
CHRISTIAN MARIO
APPRENTICE CARPENTER & JR. ESTIMATOR
Construction was always in Christian’s genes. From his grandfather, to his own father, the passion would soon be passed down to him. From a young age he enjoyed traveling with his dad and spending the day at the job site. During high school, Christian found himself on the job site working as a carpenter’s assistant for the S.L. Mario team. This tenure was short-lived, however, as Christian developed Lyme Disease and was physically unable to continue for most of the summer. After his recovery, he was back out on the jobsites, continuing to gain experience.
Christian carried his passion for building into the virtual realm. He fell in love with the game of Minecraft, and would spend weeks building 1:1 scale sports stadiums and massive cities. He also has a big passion for baseball and sports stats.
After high school, Christian started working full-time role with S.L. Mario in 2023. He works primarily as a junior project estimator but you can still find him helping out in the field. He is excited to learn more about running a small business and residential renovations and construction as a whole. In the future, he envisions living with his girlfriend Emily and taking ownership of the business when his father retired.
